Looking for hands-on Architects in MAC or PHY or RF with strong technical background in Algorithm, PHY or MAC, WiFi or LTE or WiMax. Hiring Hands-on Architects/Directors in San Francisco Bay Area:
1. MAC Layer Architect/Director (WiFi)
Responsibilities:
• Define MAC layer architecture for WIFI, 802.11 a/b/g/n/c.
• Build and lead a team to develop MAC layer algorithm for WIFI. (for Director position)
• Work with RF and baseband team to define the whole chip architecture.
Requirements:
• Strong technical background on MAC protocol, such as WIFI or Ethernet.
• In-depth knowledge in embedded CPU and software.
• Minimum 3 years experiences on communication systems such as WIFI, LTE, WiMax, DSL.
2. Physical Layer Architect/Director (PHY, WiFi, Algorithm)
Responsibilities:
• Define physical layer architecture for WIFI, 802.11 a/b/g/n/c.
• Build and lead a team to develop physical layer algorithm for WIFI. (for Director position)
• Work with RF team to define RF transceiver architecture.
• Work with MAC team to define MAC architecture.
Requirements:
• Strong technical background on communication theory and real communication system.
• In-depth experience in AGC, channel equalization, MIMO, beamforming, coding.
• Understand ASIC implementation.
• Understand RF and Mixed signal architecture.
• Minimum 3 years experiences on communication systems such as WIFI, LTE, WiMax, DSL.

RESPONSIBILITES:
1. To build and lead a team of RF engineers to design world-class RFIC chips, such as silicon TV tuner, WIFI, Bluetooth and Sub-G communication chips.
2. To architect the chip spec and define the block spec.
3. To work closely with different teams to design a single chip that integrates RF, analog and digital baseband into a single SOC chip.
4. To work closely with the lab team to bring up and test the RF chips.
5. To work closely with the operation team to come up with the test plan, improve the yield and test coverage and ensure the successful mass production.
6. To work closely with the marketing team to define the chip functions and unique features.
7. To work closely with the sales team to support the customer design.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
1. Must have a master degree or above.
2. Require 5+ years RFIC design experience and at least one successful mass production chip experience.
3. Excellent communication skill.
4. Have positive attitude, proactive behavior, and a high desire for achievement.
5. Be willing to work about 80% time per year at the Beijing office, other time can work at our Silicon Valley office or anywhere from home.
