VP of Operations
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will be based in Suzhou or Shenzhen to lead the company's Testing and Engineering Service Operations working with the strategic partners globally, which provides in-circuit and functional testing and test fixture services, Data Analysis Services, Improvement Recommendation and Engineering Implementation Services to entire Electronics Product Development Life Cycle to our domestic and international customers. The broad responsibilities include Production, Engineering, Materials, Procurement and Quality, aiming to maximize an organization's growth and profitability while leading and managing all company operations functions. The position reports to CEO and collaborates with CFO, Marketing and Sales, and other key functions. Key responsibilities include:
Ø Review, improve and implement policies, procedures and work flows in all organizations within the operations and with partners;
Ø Review and improve quality systems and executions and be a key owner of customer satisfactions;
Ø Implement short- and long-term programs and operating plans to support revenue and profitability;
Ø Improve and optimize capacity utilization by synergetic coordination with Sales; be responsible for each order fulfillment in terms of quality and on-time delivery;
Ø Initiate plans to continuously improve manufacturing costs by controlling or improving budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency and customer service effectiveness;
Ø Review performance against operating plans, initiate changes in plan directions according to market and order conditions;
Ø Lead and direct an engineering organization with both sustaining and development capabilities to support current and future business needs;
Ø Be able to lead engineering staff s to effectively deal with customers, suppliers and partners on technical and engineering issues and provide guidance;
Ø Be able to provide Sales with accurate cost estimation for RFQ’s and review and approve each sales contract;
Ø Be able to contribute to corporate strategic development from engineering and operations perspective;
Skills:
Ø Excellent written and oral communicator in English and Chinese (Mandarin), familiar with both Chinese and Western culture;
Ø Ability to manage a fast growing engineering service operations in China with several locations;
Ø Previous engineering background in testing or electronics product development service within a testing house or OEM/EMS;
Ø International business exposure and awareness, global and strategic thinking;
Ø Strong skills in managing people and solving complicated problems
Qualifications:
Ø Experience – More than 5 years in engineering management, and 10 years progressive advancement within operations, at least 5 years as Director of Operations or higher within similar industry;
Ø Education – MSEE or equivalent, MBA a plus;
Ø Working experience in China a plus; extended experience in dealing with western customers
